Project proposal summary
Emotional literacy through restorative justice practices is the aim of this project. Helping students to value commitment, empathy and responsibility through the stages of development starting with middle childhood, early adolescence, late adolescence and beyond will enable students to handle conflict resolution and build resilience. Each student will be required to set personal and education goals and then identify the values and skills that are required to enable those goals.
Eastern Goldfields College and South Kalgoorlie Primary School in Western Australia were joint winners of the special projects category of the Goldfields District Excellence in Education Award for their values project.
