Values Education Good Practice Schools Project – Stage 1: Final Report
The Values Education Good Practice Schools Project – Stage 1 (VEGPSP 1) involved the funding by the Australian Government of 26 clusters of schools from around Australia to design, implement and evaluate quality projects in values education which would reflect and utilise the National Framework for Values Education in Australian Schools in local contexts.
The project, managed by Curriculum Corporation, centred on using action research to produce good practice materials to foster better values education practice in all schools in Australia.
A report of the learnings and outcomes from the project, Implementing the National Framework for Values Education in Australian Schools: Report of the Values Education Good Practice Schools Project – Stage 1, and an executive summary are available for downloading below. The report contains the voices of the teachers and students who participated in this project. It also contains: Case Study examples from the clusters; examples of Case Writing; key findings about the educational impacts of good practice in values education; a list of recommendations to Australian schools about what the VEGPSP 1 tells us about the principles of good practice in values education; and practical suggestions for implementing values education.
School clusters
School clusters developed case studies of their work which informed the development of the report. Extracts from the report for each cluster are also available on the relevant cluster page.

Values Education Good Practice Schools Project – Stage 2 builds on the work of Stage 1. A list of the 25 successful clusters and a brief description of their project is available on the website.
