Project proposal summary

Skoolaborate is a global initiative that uses a variety of virtual tools to facilitate student learning. This project will explore values education through social and global issues via a blend of face-to-face and innovative virtual experiences. The Values Exchange, an online debating tool, will allow powerful, values-based, online debate to help students articulate their thinking about social issues without peer or other social pressure. Students will study the learning units within Skoolaborate. They will be part of the Values Exchange to debate issues and enter the virtual world where they participate in synchronous activities and forums to discuss, compare and contrast aspects of the learning units and Values Exchange results with students from around Australia and beyond.
